History Tour

History Tours given throughout the year by Co-President, Mary White Littrell

Step inside Simmons’ Stable and discover the people, horses and traditions that helped establish Mexico, Missouri, as the “Saddlehorse Capital of the World.” Built in 1887, the stable is the oldest known building in the United States continuously used to board and train champion American Saddlebred horses.

History tours are offered throughout the year by Board Co-President Mary White Littrell. Visitors can explore the historic stable while learning about its architecture, preservation and important place in American Saddlebred history.
